The Buzz: Jason Reitman has owned his career wobbles, but if your worst films are Young Adult and Labor Day, you're nowhere near committing the same kind of artistic crimes as your peers. Reitman's latest updates the suburban drama seen in films such as The Ice Storm and Little Children to show just what we encounter when we spend most of our time online cultivating alternate personae. With so much real-world commentary on the matter it'll be interesting to see if Reitman can offer anything new on the subject or frame it in ways that offer any new perspective. It's hard to shake the feeling that you're watching a trailer instead of a PSA, and knowing that Emma Thompson narrates the film makes us wonder at what point the project called for such a device.
